Job Title: Tasting Room Associate

Location: JoiRyde Winery at The District Wine Village

Position Type: Part-time / Weekends

Wages: Starting from $18-$20/ hour depending on experience.

About Us: JoiRyde Winery is a renowned winery dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of our region. Our tasting room offers guests an immersive experience where they can explore our diverse selection of wines and learn about our winemaking process.

Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Tasting Room Associate. The Tasting Room Associate will play a key role in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests, guiding them through wine tastings, and assisting with wine sales and promotions.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome guests as they enter the tasting room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
2. Conduct wine tastings and educate guests about our wines, including grape varietals, production methods, and flavor profiles.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with wine selections, purchases, and inquiries.
4. Promote and upsell wine club memberships, merchandise, and special promotions to enhance the guest experience.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including tasting counters, displays, and seating areas.
6. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, handle cash, and reconcile daily sales.
7. Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking wines, merchandise, and tasting supplies.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the tasting room.
9. Uphold all company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service and safety protocols.
10. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to expand wine knowledge and hospitality skills.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service roles preferred.
• Passion for wine and eagerness to learn about our winery, wines, and industry trends.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse groups of guests.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
